Write a Get-Well Card!

Sometimes, people in the hospital feel lonely or depressed. Their illnesses might cause them a great deal of pain or force them to be apart from loved ones for an extended period of time. Why not write an encouraging get-well card to brighten someone's hospital stay?

              

1. Choose a Recipient If you or someone in your family has experienced one of the ailments below, you might want to write someone with that ailment. Perhaps you could offer that person some advice on how to cope with their illness.

2. Write Your Message 

 

Click on the large box below to write your get-well message. Have you or has someone in your family had Cancer/Diabetes/Heart problems etc.? How did you or your family member deal with that problem? Do you have any words of advice or encouragement?

Even if you have no experience with the particular ailment of the person to whom you are writing, you can still write a very wonderful letter. You might want to include  a funny or uplifting story, joke, or poem. 4. Do You Want Community Service    Hours for Your Letter?

 

In order to get community service hours, your message must be at least 250 words long.  Each 250+ word letter we receive from you (letters must be unique - you cannot write to the same person twice or re-use the same letter) will count as 20 minutes of community service work.  At the end of the month, we will notify your community service counselor of the service hours you have completed.

After checking over everything to make sure it's correct, press the "submit" button below to send us your letter. Remember that if you want credit, you MUST submit your name, your service counselor's name, and his or her e-mail address (step 3).
